Introductory Clay Class for Couples (or Pairs)

This beginner-friendly class is perfect for all skill levels, whether you're new to pottery or looking to get back into a creative hobby. Designed for couples, friends, or loved ones, you’ll have two hours to explore both handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques together.

You’ll learn the basics of handbuilding to create organic forms, and on the wheel, you’ll try essential techniques to shape clay into a round form. Couples will rotate between handbuilding and wheel throwing, giving everyone a chance to explore both methods.

With the guidance of your instructor, you’ll have the opportunity to make a variety of pieces, from functional items like cups, mugs, and planters to decorative sculptures, luminaries, and more. The class also touches on surface texture, tool use, and altering forms to add unique character to your creations. This fun and creative experience is the perfect way to bond, laugh, and take home your own handmade pottery!
